The Meridian Outdoor Renovation Project includes the construction of two new pavilions which will serve as nature education classrooms. Meridian Public Schools is currently partnering with the Chippewa Nature Center to provide every class in the Elementary with three nature education experiences. Our goal is to expand this partnership by creating new learning spaces, and expanding the reach to the High School Biology classes as well.
"I currently take my nature education class outside everyday, utilizing the paths to study nature." Stephanie Goff, Special Education Teacher Meridian Elementary School
The pavilions will be constructed on a 40 acre parcel which is owned by Meridian Public Schools, and located just west of the school campus. This property consists of both upland, and wetland areas which offer a vast platform of learning opportunities.
This same parcel of property currently serves as the home of the Coach Bob Cole Cross Country Course, and there are future plans for an 18-hole disc golf course!
- Total of $20,000 per pavilion.
- A total of two pavilions will be constructed, and serve as classroom spaces for the Nature Education classes.
- 10 year commitment. Sponsor can pay this amount upfront, or over this period of time.

- Benches for the nature trail and pavilion areas.
- One time fee.
- Sponsor logo or personalization will be engraved into bench.
